About Me.

 

During  the Financial Crash I reflected on my dubious choices! Fashionably I did have a wee mid life crisis, sold my Land rover, changed my career from a respectable Financial Advisor to high net worth clients to being in charge of Traffic Wardens! Help! I also became a grandmother, and started to change my shopping habits from Sainsbury’s to Asda!

 

In secondary school my English A level teacher ( an American ) Mrs Banks loved my story telling, however stressed that I would fail my English Lit on Grammar. She did say I would be in politics or a trade union rep! I always wanted to be a History / Art teacher but I would have been rubbish. I have a low tolerance level.

 

In 2002, I decided to relocate for my son's education and move to Pevensey, where our caravan was. Thereafter the rest of the family followed. Cheek!

 

When you read Black Crow, you will see that I have been very influenced by where I live in Pevensey, being 1066 country and where the legendary smuggling Hawkhurst gang caused havoc.

 

My family all had caravans at the Martello Beach Caravan Park, which is understandable, with us being of gypsy blood ( Notting Hill) and so there are gypsies in the book .

 

I am a qualified IFA, and in 2010 / 11,  I obtained a diploma in Business Management. In 2012, I obtained a City and Guilds in Traffic Management.

 

I have a 24 old son called Sonny, a grand daughter called Scarlett and a dog called Baron Blackadder ( Posh name) or Frankie ( Common name) .

 

I love exploring, I love history, and I love finding out how people work.
